WHAT ARE GG VELVET EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
The lash extensions used at GoodGirl are synthetic Mink, or Silk, and are applied individually to the natural lash with a medical grade adhesive by a professional.
HOW LONG DO GG LASHES LAST?
A full set will last as long as your natural lash cycle, which is anywhere from 4-6 weeks, depending on the individual. If you want to keep up with your desired lash look, we recommend getting a fill anywhere between 1 and 3 weeks depending on your hair growth, lifestyle, and lash maintenance.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO APPLY LASH EXTENSIONS?
Our artists can apply a Classy Classic set in 90 minutes, a Barbie Hybrid set in 90 minutes, a Bratty Volume set in 90-100 minutes, and a GG Mega Volume set in 100-120 minutes. We ask you to generally plan on 30-90 minutes for a fill depending on the appointment you book as well. We like to remove any grown out lashes, clean them up, and make your lashes look brand new every time you come in, this will ensure the retention and life of your extensions.
CAN I WEAR MAKEUP WITH MY LASHES?
YES! Although we don’t recommend wearing any mascara that isn't extension safe or oil based products, as it will shorten the life of your lash extensions.
WILL LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?
No! When applied properly, with perfect isolation, lightweight eyelash extensions will not harm your natural lashes. Our lash artists are all experienced and certified, the most important thing to them is keeping your natural lashes healthy!
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY LASH EXTENSIONS?
Do not get the lashes wet for the first 24 hours including:

Steam

Tears
-
Showering
-
Swimming
-
Eye Makeup Remover
-
Rain

Etc.
Brush your lashes when needed, but try not to brush them wet.
Try to avoid oil based products, especially around the eyes.
Try to touch your lashes as little as possible. Definitely no plucking, picking, or pulling!
Don’t use a curler on them or apply lash strips over them.
Wash your lashes every 2-3 days with GG’s lash bath or anytime you wear eye makeup, excessively sweat, or dirty your lashes in any way.
Use a fan to dry your lashes to fluff them back out and give your eyes that ‘just done’ look.
WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY LASH APPOINTMENT?
Thoroughly wash your eyes with oil free face wash or eye makeup remover. Do not wear any eye make-up, or you’ll need to come early enough to your appointment for a lash bath.
WHAT IF MY LASHES START FALLING OUT?
Individual lash extensions fall out on the cycle of your natural lashes. You can lose from 1 to 5 lashes a day, depending on your set, and still maintain your lash look. If your extensions are falling off excessively, we do have a 3 day open door policy. This means we will do a lash fix for you for free up to 3 days after your initial appointment as long as care instructions have been maintained.
What is a Lash Lift?
The lash lift procedure has revolutionised old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions and the associated aftercare, this will last you 6-8 weeks and can be combined with a tint to leave the mascara behind.
Can a Lash Lift be used to compliment other treatments?
Yes! A lash Lift is enhanced when you use an eyelash growth product, such as RapidLash which is available in our store. While your lashes grow longer, our process controls straight or overly curly lashes by giving them a uniform lifted look. Is a Lash Lift the same as an eyelash perm?
No the Lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of its predecessor . Whilst the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. By ditching the old fashioned perm rollers which curled back the lashes to the extent of the ‘dolly look’, the silicone pads used for this new procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.
Does the Lash Lift procedure hurt?
No the procedure is totally painless. You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.
Is the procedure safe?
Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting pads before products are applied.
Will the Lash Lift damage my natural lashes??

How long does a lash lift take?
A lash lift can take anything from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end. Maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift.
How long will a Lash Lift last?
A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.
Will I have a reaction to the lotion?
Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand. A patch test is quick and simple. It consists of us placing 2 drops of lotions behind the ear for 15 minutes. Wiping it off and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.
I wear contact lenses, can I have this procedure?
Yes. However, we will ask you to remove them temporarily during the treatment as the eyes will be closed throughout.
Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?
Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.
How do I clean my eyes?
Gently, using mild products. Always wait 24 hours to do this, straight after the procedure.
Can I use an eyelash curler?
No. There will be no need for an eyelash curler as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler, But more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes.
How often can I have a lash lift?
A lash lift will begin to naturally drop after about 2 months and your lashes will be back to their natural look. The lashes should drop evenly and will not look out of place. You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of one month if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state.
